Changes to Executive Committee Announced

Executive committee member and immediate past Chair Mike Weber announced his departure from the Council's executive committee recently, after accepting position as VP of Marketing at Credit Union Student Choice, a new CUSO founded by a group of the nation's leading credit unions.

Weber, the former Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for Dupaco Community Credit Union in Dubuque, IA, commented that “I am thrilled to join Credit Union Student Choice and help credit unions enter the field of private student lending.”

To fill the vacancy created by Weber's departure, Council Chair Anne Legg announced the appointment to the executive committee of Bryn Johansen, Director of Marketing and Business Development for First Tech Credit Union, Beaverton, OR.

A credit union professional since 2001 and a Council member for the past four years, Johansen has been involved on the Council's education and conference committees. In addition, she served as one of the judges for the 2008 Business Development Professional of the Year Award.

“Mike's leadership and participation have been a driving force in making our council the premier organization for credit union marketers and business development professionals,” said Legg. “On behalf of the council executive committee, we congratulate him on his new position and look forward to working with Bryn.”
